INSiGHT Neurological Stress Scans
At Smoky Summit Chiropractic, we use INSiGHT neurological scanning to see how your nervous system is functioning — not just how you feel. These safe non-invasive scans help us identify stress patterns, personalize your care, and track progress over time.
The INSiGHT scans use advanced sensors to measure how your body adapts to stress. There is no radiation, no discomfort, and results are available immediately so we can review them together. Think of it as a window into how your nervous system is working.
NeuroSpinal EMG
This scan measures electrical activity in the muscles along your spine. Muscles are controlled by nerves, so when we see increased tension or imbalance, it can indicate that certain areas of your nervous system are under stress or working harder than they should. The NeuroSpinal EMG Scanner helps us understand how your body is physically responding to stress.
This helps us identify:
Areas of muscle tension
Postural stress patterns
Compensation patterns
How efficiently your nervous system is communicating.
Heart Rate Variability (HRV)
This scan measures heart rate variability, which reflects how well your nervous system can adapt to stress. A healthy nervous system should be able to shift between “fight or flight” and “rest and heal” with ease. Lower adaptability can indicate your system is under stress or stuck in a heightened state of tension.
This scan helps us understand:
Your body’s resilience to stress
Overall adaptability
Balance within the autonomic nervous system
NeuroThermal
This scan measures temperature differences along the spine using gentle infrared sensors. Your autonomic nervous system controls automatic functions like digestion, heart rate, immune response, and healing. When there is imbalance, it can show up as uneven temperature patterns along the spine. It provides insight into how your body is functioning internally.
This scan helps us evaluate:
Sympathetic vs parasympathetic imbalance
Stress patterns affecting regulation
How well your body is adapting
“Chiropractic is not about treating disease; it’s about removing interference so the body can function.”
