Dr. Heyward Sutton
ChiropractorDr. Heyward grew up in Georgia but spent every summer in Western North Carolina with her family, developing a lifelong connection to the mountains she now calls home. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Lynn University before completing her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Life University in 2021.
After graduating, Dr. Heyward practiced as an associate in Savannah, GA, where she gained valuable clinical experience before returning to Western North Carolina in 2023 to raise her family and open Smoky Summit Chiropractic with her husband, Josh.
Chiropractic care has been part of Dr. Heyward’s life from the very beginning — she received her first adjustment within her first week of life — and she has known from a young age that this was the path she wanted to pursue. She is deeply passionate about patient education, family-centered care, and being actively involved in the community she serves.
Joshua Sutton
Office ManagerJosh is the friendly face keeping Smoky Summit Chiropractic running smoothly. A Georgia native who relocated to Western North Carolina in 2023, he spent twelve years in the automotive industry before shifting gears into chiropractic care to help launch Smoky Summit.
He is a lifelong car and motorcycle enthusiast, an animal lover, and a proud dad of two. Josh and Dr. Heyward are high school sweethearts and love raising their family in the mountains.
